In a Nutshell..."Utile Dulci"
The Blass Bass Grille has been a staple in Padanaram Village for many years. The establishment was purchased in May of 2010, by Matthew Rooney, the former Manager of the Kinsale Inn in Mattapoisett. Mr. Rooney defines his eatery as "A full service restaurant with summer and outdoor seating. Mostly seafood in a simple, yet elegant enviroment with excellent service. Open Tuesday - Sunday for lunch and dinner. We also offer catering and private parties.
A Local favorite, the Black Bass Grille is a restaurant for people of all ages. On Tuesdays, 10% of the company proceeds are donated to a local area charity. The corporation that owns the restaurant, Utile Dulci, Inc., took its name from the town of Dartmouth's seal. "Utile Dulci" is Latin for "Service through kindness and peaceful means".
